Acceptance of terms
By using FileForge ("the Service"), you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the Service. These terms apply to both free and Pro users.
Using the Service
FileForge provides file compression tools for lawful use. You may use the Service to compress files you own or have the right to process.
You may not:
- Upload files you don't own or don't have permission to process
- Use the Service to process illegal content or malware
- Attempt to circumvent usage limits through automation, scripting, or session manipulation
- Reverse-engineer, scrape, or systematically extract data from the Service
- Use the Service in any way that could damage or overload our infrastructure
Your files
You retain all ownership and rights to files you process with FileForge. We make no claim to your content.
Files are not stored after processing. Your upload is processed in memory, the compressed result is streamed back to you, and the buffer is discarded. We do not access, analyze, or use your file content for any purpose.
Free tier
The free tier includes 3 image compressions and 3 PDF compressions per session, with a 5MB image file limit and 20MB PDF file limit. These limits are per browser session and reset when your session expires (30 days).
We reserve the right to adjust free-tier limits. Significant changes will be communicated on the website.
Pro subscription
Pro is a monthly subscription billed through Stripe at $4.99/month. It removes session limits and raises the file size cap to 100MB.
- Billing — you are billed monthly on the date you subscribed. Payments are processed by Stripe.
- Cancellation — you may cancel at any time from your Stripe account. Access continues until the end of your current billing period.
- Refunds — refunds are handled case-by-case. Contact us at support@fileforge.polsia.app.
- Price changes — if we change the Pro price, existing subscribers will receive 30 days notice before it takes effect.
Availability and uptime
We aim to keep FileForge available at all times but make no uptime guarantees. The Service may be unavailable due to maintenance, outages, or events outside our control. We are not liable for any loss caused by Service unavailability.
Disclaimer of warranties
The Service is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We make no guarantees about compression ratios, output quality, or compatibility with specific file types. Results depend on the content and structure of your files.
Limitation of liability
FileForge is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including data loss. Our maximum liability to you is the amount you paid in the 3 months preceding the claim.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance. Material changes will be noted with an updated "Last updated" date.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict of law provisions.
